The Belgian R&D group involved in UCELLS is part of the corporate research Lab working for the Electronic Test and Measurement BU, working on new test concepts and wireless technologies for emerging markets. Main focus is the digital base-band processing of the signal in order to condition it for the measurement application. UWB is recognized as one of the next big opportunities requiring large processing capabilities for the measurement processing.
